  1. Hi, not sure if you are still active in this blog but after reading your article on the Railway Tavern on NST, where you talked about your friend Robert, who previously worked at Holiday Villa, knowing that some of the food from Szechuan Garden is back to Railway Tavern definitely got me excited to go back Alor Setar to try them. Then I realised that a lot of the restaurants during the olden days that have been closed down were forgotten by a lot of people. Some I never got to try since I was not even born yet. I have heard about places that served exceptional food like Cafe Siam at the roundabout near the Maybank (City Plaza) and Szechuan Garden but never tried them before. I think it would be a great idea for an article to talk about the restaurants that maybe changed the culinary scene of the city, or legendary places that only the senior citizens would know or remember. Probably a good article for the older generation to reminisce on the great food places they had in the past.
